During the month of August, Ridgecrest Baptist Church will be partnering with BaptistNC to serve the people working in the following schools. We will be providing coffee, snacks and other food, school supplies, prayer, and manual power to help the teachers and administration get prepared for the new school year.

Carrington Middle School- August 17th. Providing coffee, snacks, and volunteers to help set up classrooms. Let us know if you are able to attend.

Eno Valley- TBD

Voyager Academy- TBD

Durham School of the Arts- TBD

Discovery School- helping clear out their Cross Country Course to prepare for their fall season. TBD


As we await for the dates when we can serve, please go ahead and start connecting school supplies. You can drop items off at the church office. Some items to collect are the following.

For Students:

  • #2 Pencils and mechanical pencils

  • 24-count Crayola crayons and washable markers

  • Wide-rule and college-rule composition notebooks

  • Spiral notebooks (1-subject)

  • Loose-leaf notebook paper

  • Pink block erasers and cap erasers

  • 2-pocket folders (with or without prongs)

✂️ Classroom Staples & Bulk Items

Teachers frequently run out of these items and end up paying for them out-of-pocket:

  • Expo dry-erase markers (black and multi-color)

  • Glue sticks and liquid school glue

  • Blunt-tip and pointed student scissors

  • Highlighters

  • Index cards and sticky notes

  • Pencil pouches and boxes


Another way to help serve our community is to join a Connect Group here at Ridgecrest. Here are some examples in how our Connect Groups are currently serving our local community:

  • Helping those with addictions by volunteering or working long Celebrate Recovery ministries.
