It’s More Than a Message Series!

With all the tragic events happening in our world recently, our next passage of Scripture gives us hope and encouragement from the Lord!

Romans 12:18:

“If possible, so far as it depends on you,

live peaceably with all”

As the people of God, this is our opportunity to “shine for the gospel!”  It is our opportunity to live IN the world as we demonstrate that we are not OF the world!

1)- Determine to join us Sunday for worship — as always!  There is something about gathering as the people of God to worship God that draws our heart to the Lord!  We desperately need Jesus!  And we need one another too!

2)- Determine to be a presence for peace wherever you are!  In the house…. At school… At work… At church… Out in the community… Hanging with friends… or anywhere else you happen to be!

Join us in person or online Sunday at 9:15 & 10:30 am!

Good News:

You have been graciously generous with several special offerings lately:  flooding in western NC, local flooding along the Eno, missions offerings (Lottie Moon, Annie Armstrong, NC Missions), our Connect Group relocation project, and more.

Not So Good News:

Our giving is behind in meeting the needs of our church budget!

In addition to the special offerings, we have also had higher than normal summer expenses due to increased participation in camps and mission trips (Praise the Lord).  We have also had several unexpected maintenance needs.  And, we have expenses related to our Homecoming service coming up on October 12 (every 5 years).

Summer also often brings a dip in giving due to vacation plans, travels, and absences from church.

What often happens is that members continue to give the same overall amount to the church, but take away from their regular giving (which goes towards the budget) in order to contribute to special offerings (disaster relief, missions, etc).

If you need to “catch up” on your regular church giving, let me encourage you to do so ASAP!  And, if you have been blessed and are in a position to contribute more, we would look forward to it!

To be clear, we are not in a crisis!  Our resources are strong.  We continue to maintain spending on a cash-flow basis:  We only spend what we have on hand! Our church treasurer, Mitch Williams, as well as our Stewardship Team, continue to work hard to keep us on the right track!  We just want to make you aware.

Thanks

Thank You for giving

TO the Lord,

THROUGH the church

to accomplish our mission of leading people to

“Discover Life-Changing Connections!”

To God, One Another, and Our Community

And by the way, we will study God's word and worship the Lord as we gather together every Sunday!

I can’t wait!  See you then!

With ongoing prayers for Godly success in 2025

Remember that with Jesus, our brightest days are always ahead!
